The Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League, Aisha Falode, has congratulated all the 14 NWFL Premiership clubs for a successful completion of the regular season as the league goes into the final round, the Super Six Playoff.
She expressed her satisfaction on the professionalism displayed by all the clubs throughout the regular season.
Falode who said this yesterday, from her base in Lagos, expressed her satisfaction over the successful end of the season.
“I am most delighted that the regular season of the NWFL Premiership League went as planned as there were no incidents to warrant the stoppage of the league. Everything went smoothly as planned. All the teams travelled and returned to their homes safely across the country.
“It was the same success story for the referees and other match officials and members of the NWFL Secretariat. We give God the glory for the successes recorded so far as we concluded the regular season, and we pray for a continued success as we go into the NWFL Super Six from May 2 to 8th in Benin City.
“I most sincerely congratulates the teams that made it to the Super Six: Edo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons and Naija Ratels in Group A and Bayelsa Queens, Rivers Angels and Delta Queens in Group B. They have all done very well to merit their qualifications to the final round of the 2021/2022. I wish all of them good luck as they battle to win the league title and the country’s slot to play in the CAF Women Champions League.”
Falode, also applauded the media for doing a great job in their effective and fantastic coverage of the league during the regular season, and hopes for a better coverage during the Super Six.
She did not leave out the NWFL Secretariat headed by the Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, for the great job done so far.
