Delta Queens Coach, Tosan Blankson has lamented his side’s wastefulness in front of goal as the ‘Okowa’ Ladies failed to overturn a goal deficit on Thursday against Nasarawa Amazons at the University of Benin Football Pitch.
The Asaba based side failed to convert from the spot twice, after conceding in the 27th minute through an Chinemerem Opara strike and Blankson seem not to be too happy with that.
The five time Champions of the NWFL Premiership did create a number of chances, but their profiligacy in front of goal cost them alot.
‘We lost a lot of scoring chances and even missed two penalties. It was disappointing , but the girls gave their all on the pitch and I feel like we deserved more than we got.
“We will keep our heads high and work harder to take our chances next time.
Delta Queens will play against League leaders Bayelsa Queens on Friday morning at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium by 10am.
