NWFL Super 6:’Robo Queens can withstand any team’-Esther Ndubisi

Robo Queens captain, Ndubisi Esther has stated that the team can withstand the other opponent at the 2023 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six, beginning on Tuesday, June 6.

Robo Queens will be making a return to the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six after missing out last season.

The Lagos Landladies will attempt to win the league title for the first time beginning against 2021 champions Rivers Angels and the skipper has strong belief in her teammates.

“FC Robo Queens believes that with God all things are possible. With God on our side of course the team can withstand the other five teams,” Ndubisi told theNWFL.com.

“I think Bayelsa Queens will pose the greatest threat for us in Asaba because they are the defending Champions and played WAFU-B and Champions League last season with good players and experience.

“The fans should be expecting a very good and great performance that is getting to at least the final of the Super Six even though the team players are not that complete unlike that of last two years ago but the fans still believe that we can still do it and there’s nothing impossible for God to do for us.”

In 2021, Emmanuel Osahon’s side faced the likes of Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, Delta Queens, Sunshine Queens, and Edo Queens at the Super Six and finished third with eight points behind Champions, Rivers Angels (11 points) and Delta Queens (nine points).

This time, the Lagos Landladies hope for a bright start to their campaign against the Jewel of Rivers on Tuesday, June 6, at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.

They will follow up with Bayelsa Queens on Thursday, June 7 in the race to finish top Group A and qualify for the final on Sunday.
