Twelve Match Officials selected for 2025 NWFL Premiership Super Six

The Referees Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has unveiled a strong lineup of officials for the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six scheduled to take place in Ikenne, Ogun State, from May 8.

Leading the pack is Oluwatosin Omotoye from Osun State, one of the few women referees officiating in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

She will be joined in the centre by Dominion Chisom Kalu (Enugu State), Gbemisola Yusuf (Lagos State), and Semiat Mustapha (Oyo State), who impressed during the 2024 edition in Yenagoa. Making her debut on this big stage is Plateau State’s Diana Ejiro James.

The list also features several promising officials who have passed through the FIFA Member Association (MA) Young Talent Course, reflecting the federation’s commitment to developing female refereeing talent.

Among the assistant referees are 2024 FIFA MA course participants Patience Azi (Plateau State) and Stephanie Embafan (Benue State), alongside others including Tosin Sule (Osun State), Oliver Njoku (Imo State), Oluwole Omowumi Adeola (Lagos State), and Kindek Ogbein (Cross River State).

Twelve match officials in total have been selected to officiate during the tournament, which will feature six teams: Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, Remo Stars Ladies, Nasarawa Amazons, Naija Ratels, and Edo Queens.
