Remo Stars Ladies 1-0 Naija Ratels: Bolaji Olamide fires debutants to second straight win

Remo Stars Ladies maintained their perfect start to the 2024/25 NWFL Premiership Super Six with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Naija Ratels on Matchday Two at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Monday.

In-form striker Bolaji Olamide proved the difference once again, netting the decisive goal in the 14th minute.

She pounced on space inside the box to unleash a powerful strike beyond the Naija Ratels goalkeeper, marking her 15th goal of the season — the highest tally by any player across the regular season and Super Six.

The narrow win propelled the hosts to the top of the playoff standings with six points from two matches, while Naija Ratels remain rooted to the bottom of the log, still in search of their first point or goal.

Wemimo Matthew’s side will next face Bayelsa Queens in a top-of-the-table clash on Matchday Three, as Naija Ratels take on defending champions Edo Queens on Tuesday.
