NWFL Premiership Matchday 6 Wrap: Bayelsa Queens, Robo Queens Extend Perfect Starts

Matchday Six of the 2025/26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership saw defending champions Bayelsa Queens and FC Robo Queens maintain their flawless runs, while Nasarawa Amazons also extended their unbeaten streak as the Super Six race continued to gather pace on Wednesday.

In Ozoro, Bayelsa Queens made it five wins from five matches with a commanding 2–0 victory over Rivers Angels in a fiercely contested South-South derby. First-half goals from Janet Akekeromowei and Kindness Ifeanyi powered the Prosperity Girls to another convincing triumph.

In Aba, FC Robo Queens continued their dominance with a sixth consecutive victory, defeating Abia Angels 2–0. Goals in each half from Kemi Adegbuyi and Tosin Rafiu ensured Emmanuel Osahon’s side remained perfect after six outings.

At the Lafia City Stadium, Nasarawa Amazons delivered a composed performance to beat Osun Babes 2–0. First-half strikes from Farikikyen Moses and Ayowunmi Omosuyi were enough to secure the Solid Babes another important win.

In Ibadan, Ekiti Queens recorded back-to-back victories after seeing off debutants Pacesetter Queens 2–0 in a South-West derby. Zainab Ismail and Winifred Eyebhoria were on target for the visitors.

Another South-West derby ended all square in Akure as Sunshine Queens and Remo Stars Ladies played out a 1–1 draw. Similoluwa Okesiji gave the visitors the lead shortly after the restart before Misturat Olamilekan responded ten minutes later to restore parity for the hosts.

In Asaba, Delta Queens edged debutants Ahudiyannem Queens 1–0, with Charity Isaiah netting the decisive goal in the 77th minute.

In Lagos, Confluence Queens finally ended their winless run in emphatic fashion, thrashing Dannaz Ladies 3–0 to record their first victory of the campaign. Seember Emmanuel scored twice, while Blessing Sunday added the third to seal a dominant performance for the 2019 runners-up.

In Owerri, Heartland Queens compounded the struggles of Ibom Angels, condemning the visitors to a fourth consecutive defeat with a 2–0 victory. Goals from Oluebube Umejiaku and Onyinyechi Kalu in either half sealed the result.

Elsewhere in Abuja, former champions Edo Queens produced a clinical display to dispatch Naija Ratels 3–0. Second-half goals from Atume Doosuur, Mary Mamudu, and Precious Oscar capped a dominant outing for the Benin City side.
