NWFL Premiership Week 9 Preview: Osun Babes’ Take On Bayelsa Queens, Rivers Angels Aim Sixth Straight Win.

The visit of league leaders, Bayelsa Queens to Osogbo where they will face Osun Babes promises to be a keenly contested game as week nine of the 2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership hots up across seven centres.

Edo Queens without suspended Coach Rollanson Odeh will welcome FC Robo Queens while Rivers Angels hope to compound the woes of DreamStar FC Ladies when they make a trip to Lagos to trade tackles with the Galacticas.

FC Robo Queens

After the suspension of Coach Rollanson Odeh, and last week’s 1-0 defeat to Delta Queens, Edo Queens will try to return to winning ways when they host FC Robo Queens.

FC Robo Queens earned the biggest win of week eight with a 5-0 win over DreamStar FC Ladies.

The Lagos Landladies will also have to continue their goal-scoring feats to be able to conquer Edo Queens with the hope of getting their second away win of the season.

#Abia Angels FC 🆚

Abia Angels currently hold the longest losing streak in the league with five straight defeat since week three. Delta Queens on the other hand has a four-game unbeaten run and will be optimistic about extending their run against struggling Abia Angels with the State Government’s recent bus gift. This might motivate them to their first away win of the season.

Ibom Angels like Abia Angels also have the longest losing streak in the league with five straight defeats. It will be a daunting task for the Orange Ladies when they face Confluence Queens as the host fight to beat the drop zone if they can get their second win of the season.

Confluence Queens will try to pick their fourth win of the campaign.

This fixture might seem to be an easy tie for defending Champions, Rivers Angels, but, football can be tricky. Dreamstar FC Ladies only boast of one win and seven defeats this season and will attempt to get their first draw or second win of the campaign. Rivers Angels are keeping a strong challenge on Bayelsa Queens at the top of the table with five straight wins (the longest winning streak this season). A win for Rivers Angels will not be news but a victory for the Galactica’s will surely make big news.
