“There is plenty to be positive about, when you look at the squad. We have a young side and a determined team too,” She told www.thenwfl.com

Osun Babes defender Sarah Iloduba believes the ‘Omoluabi Queens’ will do well as the 2022 NWFL Premiership season kicks off on Wednesday.

The Osogbo based side finished 5th in their group last season, missing out of the Super 6 Championship, but Osun Babes ‘cult’ heroine, Sarah Iloduba is optimistic that they can do better this season, starting with the Naija Ratels game in Abuja.

“There is plenty to be positive about, when you look at the squad. We have a young side and a determined team too,” She told www.thenwfl.com

“It is true that we have lost some good players from the last season squad, but we have to hold our heads high. We have come a long way and we aren’t looking back.

When asked about her thoughts on their first league outing against Naija Ratels in Abuja, the ferocious defender was clearly full of confidence.

“Naija Ratels are a very good side and we won’t judge them by the way they played at the Flying Officers Cup. Sometimes, Pre-seasons aren’t a perfect yardstick to judge a team.

“We saw them play in Abuja and feel they play an exciting kind of game, building from the back and that could be difficult for some teams..

“I am clearly positive about a great outing and will urge my teammates to think only about picking a good result in Abuja.” She concluded.

Naija Ratels will welcome Osun Babes on Wednesday, 8th of December, as the 2021/2022 Premiership season kicks off across various centres in the country.

Video: NWFL Premiership: Iloduba Describes Monday Gift As A ‘Terror’ After Hat-trick Against Osun Babes

Osun Babes Captain Sarah Iloduba did not mince words in describing the captain of FC Robo Monday Gift as a terror. Gift made sure that Osun babes went back to Osogbo empty handed in their week two away game against FC Robo. The Super Falcons forward punished the ‘Omoluabi Queens’ with a hat trick that could be termed as world class goals.

Monday Gift has a good record against Osun Babes and was the lone scorer when FC Robo Queens won Osun Babes at the Legacy Pitch in 2019..

Describing her, Iloduba who has played against Gift alot of times said she is a terror, who doesn’t allow her to rest at her position during games.

” Monday Gift is a terror anyday, a difficult player to hold down on the pitch of play”. She said.

Osun babes has had two consecutive away fixtures since the commencement of the NWFL Premiership and losing to FC Robo means the side have to work harder against Pelican Stars in Osogbo on matchday 3.

The team got an away win against Ibom Angels in their first game but caved in heavily in the second half against FC Robo in Lagos to lose by 3 goals to 1.
